Zoho Recruit reference - https://help.zoho.com/portal/en/kb/articles/resume-inbox
Resume Inbox is a user-friendly parsing tool that enables you to automatically parse resumes sent as email attachments and add them directly to your Zoho Recruit account.
There are 3 options to add a Resume (new candidate or updated candidate resume) to Zoho Recruit.
- Resumes@talencity.com email address
- when this is done, the owner of the candidate will not necessarily be you (you can change this later)
- you can modify the subject line to add key information to the candidate record (see below)
- will only parse the attachment
- Folder in your email account
- To Configure:
- Create a folder in your InBox (I suggest Resumes)
- Log into your Zoho Recruit account.
- Go to Setup > Resume Management > Resume Inbox.
- Click on Add Account under Email Accounts.
Select the Email Address and Parse Folder for your Custom Resume Inbox.

- Select Attachments only when asked
- To Use:
- Move the email with the resume you want to parse into the Custom Folder you identified in the above ste (ie InBox>Resumes)
- Zoho Recruit will monitor that folder and parse and import into Zoho Recruit
- If the candidate exists (based on email address) it will update the default resume and candidate profile.
- If the candidate does not exist, it will create a new candidate profile
- js8f00v@resumes2.zohorecruit.com email address
- when this is done, the owner of the candidate will be the account administrator [Marc] (you can change this later)
- you can modify the subject line to add key information to the candidate record (see below)
- will parse the body and attachment to the email - so delete your signature and any other information
- If the candidate exists (based on email address) it will update the default resume and candidate profile.
- If the candidate does not exist, it will create a new candidate profile
Managing and Errors
- Log into your Zoho Recruit account.
- Go to Setup > Resume Management > Resume Inbox.
- Select Parsing Results
- You can now see the Resumes parsed, successes and failures - for all failures you have the option to reparse
Subject Format For Job Association
In Resume Inbox, a candidate is associated with a job opening based on the subject line of the email you received.
Details required:
- JobID (or) JobTitle
- Source(optional)
- The format should be as follows:
- JobID, JobTitle, or both (value and title).
- 'JobID' or 'JobTitle' should be followed by a colon (:). You may or may not provide space in between the terms.
- After the colon, the respective value should be mentioned followed by a comma (,). For example, "JOBID:ZR_2_JOB, JOBTITLE:Web Designer, SOURCE:Indeed"
- If the source is mentioned in the subject, it should follow the format mentioned above (source: _____,).
- If the source is not mentioned in the subject, the default source configured in the Resume Inbox Settings page will be used. In case the source is also not configured in the Resume Inbox Settings page, then the source of the parsed candidate will be automatically set as 'Resume Inbox'.
- The keywords along with their respective values don't need to be entered in any specific order.
- Sample Subjects:
- SUBJECT: Seek: Application For JobTitle: B2B Telesales Professional - Part-Time, Ref: Application Source: Seek Any content may come before, after or in between as long as they are separated from the keywords (jobtitle, jobid, source) by a comma.
- SUBJECT: Monster: Application For JobTitle: Web Designer - Part Time, Source: Monster.
- SUBJECT: Source: TimesJobs, Application for JobId: ZR_24_JOB
- SUBJECT: Alert: New Candidate Applied for Your Job Posting JobId: ZR_24_JOB
- SUBJECT: Job application for your Job Posting with jobtitle: Senior Consultant, from source: Dice
